Charming Home Tour ~ Migonis Home

It was about a year ago that I was first introduced to Jen’s blog, Migonis Home. I fell in love with her simple, beautiful style. Her home is light and airy, with a comfortable familiar feel in each room. Her decorating style is practical and beautiful all at once.

Cape Cod Home ExteriorJen and her hubby have done a lot of work on their Cape Cod style home.

They added a front porch and a middle window to the second floor.

Flowers line the walkway to the front door, enhancing the curb appeal even more.

Country Style Living Room in neutrals with a touch of blue.Neutrals and pale blue come together in the charming living room.

Jen did a great job pairing the pattern of the curtains with the pattern of the rug.

I always enjoy seeing how other people mix patterns together.

Country Style Dining RoomJen’s dining room has a country vibe.

The board and batten walls echo the pattern of the 6 over 6 windows.

Kitchen at Migonis HomeAn island with cooktop takes center stage in the Cape Cod’s kitchen.

Unadorned windows allow ample light to flood the room.

I’ve always been a fan of simple window treatments, or in this case, none at all.

Master BedroomJen’s master bedroom enjoys a fireplace to warm the room.

Pale gray paints the walls and creates a soothing, calming atmosphere.

Nautical Style Boys BedroomJen’s son’s bedroom shares the same striped curtains as her own bedroom.

Here, they’re blue and white instead of gray and white.

An old steamer trunk makes the perfect bedside table in this nautical room.

Nursery in LavenderTouches of lavender add cheer to the nursery at Migonis Home.

Sweet little bird cages and a festive banner add charming decorative touches.

Outdoor Dining Area in Back Yard of Cape Cod HomeIn the backyard, simple pea gravel creates a patio. After seeing Jen’s backyard space, I’ve decided to create a similar pea gravel patio. I like that the rain can permeate the gravel instead of running off a solid surface.  The more we can do to help the environment, the better. Thanks Jen, for providing the inspiration I needed for my own back yard!

  1. That sure is a cute little nursery set-up, but don’t tell me that the lamp and vase of flowers are permanent fixtures on the baby’s changing table. Keep it real!

  2. Wow —-> love this home! The kitchen is so simple and beautiful. Proof that you do not need a huge kitchen for it to be functional AND make a statement!

  3. I’ve always loved Jen’s master bedroom! I’ve commented several times about the cute & cozy fireplace & overall feel! Thanks for sharing Jennifer !!!
