Discover an Eclectic Mix of Decorating and Food Inspiration: Friday Finds

It’s Friday and that means it’s almost time to enjoy the weekend! Our weather has been really weird this winter. It’s going to reach 60 degrees next week. That’s almost unheard of for the month of February – but I’ll take it! Are you ready for this week’s treasures? I have somewhat of an eclectic mix of inspiration, including free bird printables you can decorate with for spring.

Vintage Bird Print

Feeling crafty? In the mood for spring? I’ve got a collection of free spring bird printables that you can download and frame, or follow the instructions for creating a spring nature board.

Need a little bedroom inspiration? Farrow and Ball shows how to use color to create the type of bedroom you desire.

Don’t miss this Maine cabin that you can rent on VRBO. Even if you’re not planning a trip soon, you’ll still enjoy seeing photos of this darling cabin!

Do you use dryer balls when doing laundry? If not, consider switching from dryer sheets that get thrown out, to using cute dryer balls. I like the balls from Friendsheep because a) they’re cute and b) they’re eco-friendly and c) they’re made by women and disabled artisans in Nepal. I have the bumblebee balls and love them.

Do you live in the Midwest or traveling to the area in the near future? There are several spring flower festivals that are worth seeing. I’ve yet to venture to the Holland tulip fest in Michigan, but this might be the year to go!

Have you heard of pop-up tables? It’s a great solution for small kitchens.

Valentine’s Day is next week and I first thought I’d share some type of chocolate recipe. But then I stumbled across this amazing protein-packed salad that doesn’t have any meat in it. So this weekend I’m trying this tasty kale and protein salad. I’m still on my diet and don’t want to blow it just because of Cupid’s holiday.

Enjoy your weekend. I’m babysitting three rambunctious boys on Saturday, and then heading to my son’s house on Sunday for the Super Bowl.
