13 Ways to Add Coastal Style

We’ve had the rainiest June in Illinois history, but I think the clouds are finally giving way to sunny days ahead!  Finally! It hasn’t really felt like summer but I’m trying to keep my spirits up by looking at beautiful inspiration from my blogging friends. I’ve rounded up some of their decorating talent to show how to add coastal style to your home, so you can bring the season inside regardless of what the weather is doing!

DIY Glass Buoys by Craftberry BushGlass fishing buoys instantly add coastal style when you place them in a basket, in a bowl, on a shelf, etc. Lucy from Craftberry Bush shows how easy it is to make your own buoys. She sets them out with a grouping of driftwood. So pretty!

Driftwood Inspired Dresser by Finding Silver PenniesAnother way to add coastal style to your home is to bring in colors of the sea. Danielle at Finding Silver Pennies finished this second-hand dresser in a beautiful driftwood color!  A framed sailboat print and a basket of driftwood complete the look in this corner of her home.

Farmhouse Family Room with Pillows from HomeGoodsIn my summer family room, I brought in soft blues and aqua to create the feel of the ocean. The light brown bamboo mat underfoot mimics the sand while the burlap swag is reminiscent of the color of weathered driftwood.
